This flaky pastry made with French Butter is filled with an almond & orgeat filling and as tradition goes, a little trinket is pressed into the bottom of the cake as the youngest (and most innocent) person at the table cuts each slice. This assures the recipient of the trinket is random.
Each Galette des Rois comes with one trinket and a crown given separately.
